Biography
Gennaro D\\\'Amato is Director of the Division of Pneumology and Allergology, Department of Chest Disease, at the High Speciality Hospital\\\" A. Cardarelli in Naples (Italy). He is a professor of Respiratory Allergy at the School of Respiratory Allergy at the School of Respiratory Disease, University of Naples. He is the author of 9 books in the field of respiratory allergy and about 300 scientific publications, most of them in journals with impact factor. He serves as invited speaker and/or chairman in several meetings of societies such as World Health Organization; American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; World Allergy Organization; European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; European Respiratory Society, Interasma, International Association of Aerobiology; and others. He has served in boards of several Journals such as Clinical and experimental Allergy, Allergy, Journal of Investigation Allergology Clinical Immunology and served as referee of journals such as Lancet, British Medical Journal, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, European Respiratory journal, Clinical and Experimental Allergy, Thorax, Allergy, and chest. He has served as chairman of committees on \\\"Climate change, air pollution and respiratory diseases\\\" of societies such as EAACI, WAO, and joint task force ERS-EAACI. He has served as general secretary of Italian society of respiratory diseases.
