Biography
Guangxin Zhang, Research Fellow at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology (NEIGAE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS); the adjunct professor in CAS and the guest professor in Heilongjiang University. Zhang completed his PhD in 2004 at NEIGAE, CAS. Between Nov 2004 and Nov 2005, he went to Queen's University Belfast in UK as a senior visiting scholar. At present, he is the Director of Hydrology & Water Resources Research Group at NEIGAE, CAS. His major research fields are in regards to water cycle and water resources management, wetland eco-hydrology, and water environment. Zhang is the member of China Society of Natural Resources, as well as the committee member of Chinese Water Resources Council. He serves as an editorial board member for several Chinese journals, such as SCIENTIA GEOGRAPHCA SINICA, Arid Land Geography, and Wetland Science. So far, Zhang has published more than 130 journal papers and one book “Wetland Eco-hydrology and Water Resources Managementâ€.
