Soil science is the study of soil as a natural resource on the surface of the Earth including soil formation, classification and mapping; physical, chemical, biological, and fertility properties of soils; and these properties in relation to the use and management of soils.
Hydrology is studying the movement, distribution and quality of water on our planet. Hydrology focuses on following the cycle of water in nature, from evaporation, condensation, movement and returning on Earth as precipitation, and then back to the oceans through rivers.
